The R 1300 GS is known for having a heavy lean angle. Pushing the heavy GS off its factory side stand can be a heave, especially for shorter riders. BMW knows that the GS will occasionally be loaded down with luggage and gear. Because of this BMW designed the GS with lots of lean angle to compensate for when the bike is weighted down and the suspension sinks changing the lean
It's made from solid aluminum to properly support the weight of the bike and rider and includes an enlarged foot with convex surface to securely park your bike on soft or uneven ground. It adjusts in 0.25 in (6 mm) increments from OEM length to 2 inches (50 mm) longer.
It has improved boot access with a removable kick down peg and it eliminates the OEM rubber bump stop (in the up position) that's prone to failure. The adjustable side stand even comes with a spring puller to make installation easy. Comes with all hardware needed and reuses the OEM springs.
