The AltRider Crash Bars are the only 1.25 inch (31.75 mm) crash bar system on the market. The larger 1.25 inch bars are over twice as strong as 1 inch bars while only adding 10% more weight.
Our crash bars have four secure mounting points on both sides with 3/16 inch (4.76mm) thick flanges. The top rear mount is secured large custom machined M14, grade 8.8 bolt that replaces the engine mounting hardware. AltRider offers the only custom machined through-bolt for increased strength. There are no plastic spacers or bumpers to break upon impact. This creates an incredibly strong connection while maintaining a narrow design that distributes any impact evenly throughout the bars.
