Jeremy LeBreton

From his early childhood in Chicago, Jeremy had an unexplainable passion for motorcycles. Before he could even walk, he was trying to ride every internal combustion engine he could get his hands on, from go carts to mini bikes. That didn't sit well with his mom who commanded him to "take that back where it came from." At age 12 he was finally successful at bringing home a dead 1979 Honda Express which he got from a neighbor in exchange for five lawn mowings. He fixed it up and became "the cool kid" who gets around town on a scooter (not like the other kids on pedal bikes), even when it snowed. His passion for motorcycles became his life.

At the age of 18 he rode across America and ended up settling in Seattle. While on a study trip in Europe, through a combination of luck, perseverance, hustling and networking, he finagled his way into working for Christian Wunner (a German BMW enthusiast who had ridden his R100RT around the world) and a one-month ride on a borrowed MZ 650 from Slovenia to France. He totaled more than 7,800 km and discovered Helge Pederson's "Ten Years on Two Wheels" R80GS in the BMW Museum in Munich. That sealed his desire for an adventure touring lifestyle. Upon his return to Seattle, Jeremy went to work for a metal worker, Andy Ide, who also raced off-road and was instrumental in the progression of Jeremy's off-road skills – ultimately turning him into one of the "fast guys."

Over several years Jeremy received "the greatest real world education" working for a number of companies and learning about fabrication, prototyping, and manufacturing. He met his last employer on a dirt trail in the Cascades, which led him to work for a motorcycle accessory outfitter for several years. Jeremy's passion for and knowledge of the adventure touring market has strengthened over the years, leading him to envision the AltRider brand.

Brianna Home

Co-Founder and Vice President

Brianna oversees the marketing and business development efforts of AltRider and assists with any and all of the company's needs.   

Brianna is a marketing guru in her own right, and has successfully directed international marketing efforts of mid-sized manufacturing company.  She enjoys the excitement and passion that come along with the motorcycle community. Creating events and marketing material for this community is much different than her past experience. Brianna has traveled the world admiring local traditions, enjoying tantalizing food and listening to stories of people she met along the way. And she looks forward to seeing the rest of the world – eventually.

In her free time, she trains and races triathlons. Although she loves cruising on two wheels, she is still more comfortable on a pedal bike than a motorcycle. She is planning on changing that during the next motorcycle season through group rides and taking on increasingly challenging terrain.

Serge van der Krieken

General Manager for AltRider Europe

Located at the European headquarter in the Netherlands, Serge manages AltRider Europe's facilities and dealer interactions.

Serge prefers to always live adventurously.  He's up for anything whether it's climbing rocks, hiking or pedaling on his bicycle through the mountains. Serge travels as much as possible and forms new friendships wherever he goes.

As a motorbike instructor, Serge grows the riding community with those who share his passion for travel and adventure riding.

Don Hogan

SENIOR PRODUCT ENGINEER

Don has a mission... "designing crazy products I think are cool". That's a bit of an understatement -- he developed AltRider's first product designs years ago and has returned to come up with more innovative ideas with the rest of the development team.

In his past jobs, Don has designed everything from motorcycle parts, kitchenware to high-end performance luggage in New York, even spending time in Asia managing production and sample making. His weekends are spent having mini-adventures -- taking trips to the coast with his wife, seeking out great beers, and riding bikes (pedal and motorcycles) in the mountains.

As of now, Don has sold all of his motorcycles but he has his eye on the Husky TR 650 that's currently in the AltRider fleet.

Jimmy Livengood

Product Designer

Walk into the AltRider office and you’ll find sketches scattered around the garage with Jimmy underneath a bike. Jimmy’s main duty at AltRider is everything product design – this includes concept sketches, CAD drawings, prototype production and evaluating all future revisions.

His education includes studying fine arts at Iowa State University focusing on “integrated studio arts” involving a combination of wood, ceramics, fiber forms and metals. Much of his post-college days were spent being an outdoor professional where he guided backpacking, canoeing, kayaking and rock climbing trips. Jimmy later utilized his artistic capability with a degree in industrial design, professionally constructing exhibit display and tradeshow booth structures in Seattle. His adventure experience combined with design acumen shows in the end product, always keeping in mind the outcome of gear performance in the field.

His undying passion for adventure is evident by his basement full of bicycles and enough outdoor equipment to last a zombie apocalypse. Jimmy is new to off-road riding and is currently contemplating sidecar rigs that would accommodate his 65 lb black lab/pit bull mutt.

Bill Crossland

Product Engineer

Behind the scenes of the motorcycle industry are guys like Bill, an engineer at AltRider. His duties at AltRider include researching the market, product design, and modeling new parts in CAD.

After a decade in the Marines, he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington. He’s worked for a few large Seattle companies in many roles such as project manager, operations manager and lead engineer. True to Seattle nature, he found his calling in coffee and has worked for an Italian cappuccino company.

Erik Seymour

Sales

Erik handles the sales efforts at AltRider and AltRider Europe, and is hard at work ensuring that our dealers and customers are getting the parts they need.

In the past, Erik’s worked as an injection molder, a tire rotator, and a sales rep in the automotive industry. He loves spending his free time riding dirt bikes and golfing, but more of it these days is going toward working on a new house.

Erik’s first bike was a 1988 Hurricane 1000, which he purchased as a teenager after turbo charging his car and accidentally blowing it up. He’s much safer these days, and likes to drag a bike out to the Desert 100 and the like for some riding fun.

Johan and Peter Liljerstam

REPRESENTATIVES // NORDIC REGION

Johan and Peter are brothers and best friends with a great passion for adventure riding. They are the AltRider representatives in Sweden-- taking care of sales, marketing, customer service and product testing for the region.

As gravel junkies, the Nordic brothers take any opportunity to get out and use their bikes as they're meant to be used. That's how they got to know us at AltRider -- they shared their good experiences on the web and even made their own product review's on the AltRider protection parts on YouTube.

John rides a 2012 R 1200 GSA and Peter rides a 2013 BMW F 800 GS, both decked out in AltRider parts.

Nancy Yun

Marketing Manager

With a good eye for design and a taste for adventure, Nancy makes everything marketing happen at AltRider. As the Marketing Coordinator, she plans memorable events, makes designs for the web and promotions, writes copy for the website, handles all social media outlets, and plans everything for trade shows. She enjoys blogging, photography, and meeting new people, which aligns nicely with the job requirements.

After graduating from the University of Washington, Nancy spent her professional career in the banking industry utilizing her Korean fluency. Yearning for a creative outlet, she spent much of her free time on her food blog updating about the latest trends in haute cuisine. On the weekends, Nancy will be seen skateboarding around Seattle, trying new restaurants, and singing karaoke to old pop songs.

Riding and owning a bike has been on Nancy’s bucket list for eons, and she can’t wait to start riding. Her competitive spirit will surely have her leaving the boys in the dust in no time.

Mitch Pederson

Marketing Assistant

With an obsession with motorcycles and a penchant for marketing, Mitch is right at home in the AltRider office. Mitch is responsible for helping plan AltRider events, writing product descriptions and handling AltRider’s online presence through social media. He also turns the occasional wrench installing parts on customers’ bikes.

Mitch graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2012 with a degree in marketing and a degree in Spanish. After graduating he packed up and moved westward in search of a career. He started at AltRider as a marketing intern and joined the AltRider team permanently at the end of his internship. Mitch spends his weekends either putting miles on his bike or exploring everything there is to do around Seattle.

Mitch’s daily driver is a Kawasaki EX250, and his list of projects includes a 1979 Yamaha DT175 and a 1978 Honda CB750 chopper.

Scott Albertson

WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Born and raised in West Virginia, Scott spent much of his time outdoors playing various sports and running astray in the forests. Wanting to give up the small town, Scott relocated to Seattle in 2000 working in operations and data management at an online comparison shopping engine. He enjoys afternoons at the Sounders games, racing on his Xbox 360 and watching every televised sport known to man.

New to the industry and having never actually ridden a motorcycle, Scott is excited to hop on a bike and start learning.
